Information

In the 21st century, Africa’s economies continue to grow dramatically. Since 1993, the Japanese government has co-hosted TICAD, the Tokyo International Conference on African Development six times alongside the United Nations and other partners. TICAD7 is scheduled to be held in Yokohama in 2019, and the TICAD Ministerial Meeting will take place on October 6 and 7, 2018. This program will introduce the Japanese companies that have entered the African market and are working to support the development of Africa. It also features Japan’s provision of human resource training and agricultural guidance as well as explore future prospects leading up to TICAD7.
