J-TOWN
While the US has been seriously affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, their Host Towns in Japan for the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics have come together to create a relay song video of the American national anthem to show their support, sang to the music of the United States Army Japan Band. This segment features the bonds made through this project.
J-SPIRIT
Echizen in Fukui Prefecture is an area rich in nature with pure spring water flowing from the mountains. Located in the foot of a mountain is the Daihonzan Eiheiji Temple, an active monastery where monk-trainees devote themselves to Buddhist practice. This segment features the highlights of Fukui including the temple, Echizen washi paper, knives, and lacquerware.

Rickshaw tours are one of the most iconic attractions in Tokyo’s Asakusa area, in which visitors enjoy the feeling having traveled back to the old days. However, due to COVID-19, visitor numbers have fallen drastically. This segment features Sato Tsutomu of rickshaw tour company Fukurouya, and his efforts to develop a new style of tours working with local dining establishments, taking new steps to bring back the area’s hustle and bustle.
