The city of Saitama is located around 30 minutes by car from Tokyo. It has over 200 Italian and French restaurants, most of which use “Saitama European Vegetables,” or vegetables widely eaten in Europe which are grown locally in Saitama. This segment features the efforts between local farmers and chefs to provide hospitality through food.

In Tokyo’s Sangenjaya district, there is an old block called “Sankaku-chitai.” It’s made up of maze-like backstreets where you can feel like you’ve slipped back in time, and witness both old and new lifestyles side by side. We follow Photographer Yamaguchi Masahiro as he revisits Sangenjaya for the first time in six years.
