Eel or “unagi” has been widely loved by the Japanese since the Edo period. “Unadon,” rice bowl topped with grilled unagi soaked in salty-sweet sauce, is enjoyed at specialty restaurants like sushi and tempura. This segment features chefs and unagi farmers and their efforts to serve delicious unagi, taking a close look at the deeply entrenched culture of unagi in Japan.
