Despite being located just about an hour from the center of Osaka, Hannan City remains a rich natural environment. The rain transforms into high-quality underground water, flowing from the mountains through the area and into the sea, blessing agriculture and fisheries. This program introduces a "circular and unique food culture" that efficiently harnesses the region’s blessings.

J-TECH

The nature of materials plays an important role in the development of industrial products. Today, materials development is not only about quality, but also about how to reduce the environmental impact of the manufacturing process. Until now, manufacturers have had to rely on intuition and experience through repeated trial and error, but a method called "Materials Informatics"(MI) , which makes full use of AI, has begun to be put into practice. Hitachi High-Tech, which introduced MI, is now able to recommend appropriate mixing ratios to customers. The manufacturer has been able to reduce the time of tests, which has led to a reduction in CO2 emissions and waste.
