1.NIPPON ABC: "I" Ichimatsu doll

Featuring creative works and projects of young artisans inspired by Japanese traditional culture.

Today's keyword is "I" for "Ichimatsu doll". "Ichimatsu doll" is a painted wooden doll that has been around for over 300 years. The doll allows children to change kimono and practice embroidery on it. We feature Meisho Yamazaki, who is the only female Ichimatsu doll specialist in Japan.

2.NIPPON MY FAVORITES: Daniel Eskenazi from Switzerland

Foreign correspondents introduce their favorite places, pastimes and other exciting information on Japan. Also features their insight on the charm and appeal of Japan, its similar points and differences from their home countries.

Our correspondent for this segment is Daniel Eskenazi, who came from Switzerland. His favorites are "Kidoguchi" (sushi restaurant), "Yatsuhashi" (a Japanese sweet) and "TOKYO BIKE". He also told us that his encounter with a bicycle brand called TOKYO BIKE has made his life in Tokyo much easier.
