Today’s keyword is "F" for Furin. In summer, Furin (a Japanese glass wind chime) is often seen hanging under the eaves of houses. The bell makes a gentle tinkling sound when a breeze blows. For about two thousand years, the refreshing sound of the bell provided people with aural comfort from the summer’s heat. In this segment, we feature Yukari Shinohara, who works as a furin maker.

2.NIPPON MY FAVORITES: Monzurul Huq from Bangladesh

Foreign correspondents introduce their favorite places, pastimes and other exciting information on Japan. Also features their insight on the charm and appeal of Japan, its similar points and differences from their home countries.

Our correspondent for this segment is originally from Bangladesh. His NIPPON FAVORITES are "Shiki (the four seasons of Japan)", "fruits" and "Kamakura." "Kamakura" is an old Japanese town and is famous for sightseeing. In this segment, he shows us around Kamakura where he currently resides.

3.ICHIYA’S POP EYE: Men's Fashion

Japan’s trending sub-culture introduced by Ichiya Nakamura, a key person in promoting Japanese pop-culture to the world.

Today, Ichiya talks about men’s fashion. He expresses his opinion, saying, "Japanese men know how to dress. Every man has his own unique style. Some people from other countries may find their fashion a little bit too feminine but in my opinion, I think they have a clean-cut and stylish appearance."
