The city of Hakui on the Noto Peninsula is home to a unique approach to agriculture. It encourages farmers to develop relationships with plants and unleash their inherent power. This “natural cultivation” uses no chemicals, resulting in produce that is healthy and delicious. One young couple has been growing rice this way for four years. The work is hard and the yields are small so far. But their friends and neighbors are helping them unleash their own power to follow their dreams and thrive.
