Information
The Iriya district in Minamisanriku is located in the satoyama, a traditional farming region nestled between the mountains where people co-exist with nature. Onuma Honoka, 23, started farming here in 2019. Her goal is to start a café on her farm where people can enjoy the satoyama scenery and hang out in her orchard. Honoka takes on a new challenge: using crowdfunding to raise money to plant chestnut saplings. But things don’t go as planned.
This program depicts the daily life of Honoka, a vibrant, hopeful young woman pursuing her dream in her beloved hometown.
