Information

Kagoshima Prefecture’s Soo district is an area of agricultural bounty, yet many people there don’t have ready access to good, healthy food. They are often elderly and living in remote, mountainous locations, with limited mobility. To solve that problem the local agricultural cooperative decided to launch a grocery store on wheels that makes its way each week from place to place. We follow the cheerful women who operate the truck as it delivers smiles and energy as well as food.
