Join host, Rudy Maxa, and Tokyo-born and Washington, DC, restaurateur, Daisuke Utagawa, as they tour Tokyo, the northern Japanese island of Hokkaido, and the southern, subtropical island of Kyushu to discover the stories behind Japanese cuisine. Along the way, they pay special attention to the hard work of local producers of Japanese culinary hallmarks such as Wagyu beef, ramen, sushi, black pork, and a wide variety of rice, seafood and vinegars.
