Information

Japan's sakan plaster artisans use mud, plaster, and other natural materials for interior and exterior finishes, and their techniques have been recognized as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage.
Sakan artisan Kusumi Naoki is applying a fresh take to the age-old craft and is known worldwide for his works featuring nature motifs, including the wind and waves. We take a glimpse into his creative process.
